We have had a spectacular event so far and it gets even better today! Today we will crown the new Traditional Red World's Chili Champion and present them with a check for $25,000! We will also have a lot of fun contest where anyone in the crowd can participate: Miss Chili Pepper, Mister Hot Sauce, and Shoot-N-Holler. Today's events run from 11:00 to around 5:00 so come out and join us for some fun in the sun at the Tropicana on the Las Vegas strip!

It's another great day at the 2008 ICS World's Championship Chili Cookoff! We will be crowning a new World's Champion Salsa Cook and a new World's Champion Chili Verde cook. Be sure to come out and have some fun at the Tropicana. Today's events run from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Here is a list of what's happening:

Good Luck Chiliheads!

Over 300 of the best chiliheads in the world are arriving in Las Vegas today to take part in the 42nd annual World's Championship Chili Cookoff presented by the Tropicana Hotel and Casino and produced by the ICS. We will be crowning our 2008 World Champions in three categories: Traditional Red, Chili Verde and Salsa. We want to wish all of our outstanding cooks the best of luck! Each of these cooks had to win a Regional or State event to qualify for this championship.

We also want to invite all the folks in Las Vegas to come out and join in on the fun! It will be a great weekend of food, music, merchandise and fun! Come taste some great chili and see if you can pick out the next World Champion!
