Saturday's Schedule of Events

It's another great day at the 2008 ICS World's Championship Chili Cookoff! We will be crowning a new World's Champion Salsa Cook and a new World's Champion Chili Verde cook. Be sure to come out and have some fun at the Tropicana. Today's events run from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Here is a list of what's happening:

10:00 - CHILI VERDE Cooks Meeting at the Judging Tent
10:45 - SALSA Contestants Register and Receive Salsa Cup
11:30 - SALSA Contestants Turn in Salsa – SALSA Judges Meeting at Judging Tent
12:00 - CHILI VERDE Cooks Start Your Fires - Music Begins - SALSA Judging Begins
12:30 - Best Booth Decoration and Showmanship Judging Begins
1:00 - People’s Choice Chili Sampling Begins (NO SAMPLING BEFORE 1:00)
1:30 - Best Booth and Showmanship Judges Turn in Your Ballots to Scorekeepers
2:30 - CHILI VERDE Judges Meeting at the Judging Tent
3:00 - CHILI VERDE Cooks Turn in Cups for Judging - Judging Begins
4:00 (approximate) - Announce SALSA Winners at the Stage
5:00 (approximate) - Announce CHILI VERDE Winners at the Stage
