Last Chance Winners

The ICS holds a "Last Chance" cookoff to allow cooks one last chance at qualifying for the Traditional Red World's Championship to be held on Sunday. There was a great turnout for this event with a lot of great cooks. Here is the list of 10 that qualified and will cook again on Sunday:

Congratulations and good luck on Sunday! Tomorrow is another great day of competition so be sure to come out to the Tropicana for all the action. We will be crowning the World's Champion Salsa cook and the World's Champion Chili Verde cook. There will be plenty of food, fun and entertainment for everyone!

Good Luck Chiliheads!

Over 300 of the best chiliheads in the world are arriving in Las Vegas today to take part in the 42nd annual World's Championship Chili Cookoff presented by the Tropicana Hotel and Casino and produced by the ICS. We will be crowning our 2008 World Champions in three categories: Traditional Red, Chili Verde and Salsa. We want to wish all of our outstanding cooks the best of luck! Each of these cooks had to win a Regional or State event to qualify for this championship.

We also want to invite all the folks in Las Vegas to come out and join in on the fun! It will be a great weekend of food, music, merchandise and fun! Come taste some great chili and see if you can pick out the next World Champion!
